Pastor Jacquita Wright-Henderson

Reverend Dr. Jacquita Wright-Henderson follows her favorite
scripture, Proverbs 3:5-6 daily as she trusts in the Lord with all of
her heart and leans not to her own understanding. In all her ways
she acknowledges God as he directs her paths. On July 18, 2011,
the Lord blessed her call to the itinerant ministry as she was
licensed to preach by Presiding Elder Richard Worthy at Bethel
A.M.E. Church in Wilmington, Delaware under the pastorate of
Rev. Dr. Silvester S. Beaman. On March 22, 2014, Rev. Dr.
Jacquita was ordained as an Itinerant Deacon by Bishop Gregory G.M. Ingram and in May 2014,
she earned a Master of Divinity degree from Payne Theological Seminary in Wilberforce, Ohio.
On March 6, 2016, Rev. Dr. Jacquita was ordained as an Itinerant Elder by Bishop Gregory G.M.

Coordinator of Women in Ministry. On January 7, 2018, she was appointed to serve as Pastor
of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in Darby, PA.

personnel committee, coordinated the Women’s Ministry, taught women’s bible study, and derived
great joy from visiting the sick and shut in. She also served on numerous committees to plan
worship experiences such as Women’s Day, Annual Conference, 1st Episcopal District Women in
Ministry Summit, and the 2016 Wilmington District Ecumenical Service. In the community, she
